Select high - quality and appropriate - grade fuel according to the environmental temperature. Diesel with high sulfur content can damage the engine. Avoid mixing impurities, dust, and water into the diesel, as this will cause premature wear of the fuel pump. At the end of each day's work, fill the fuel tank to prevent the formation of water droplets on the inner wall of the tank. Open the drain valve at the bottom of the fuel tank before starting work each day to drain any accumulated water 

There are several methods to clean the diesel tank. One is the solvent method. After that, soak the tank in a 10% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and rinse it with clean water inside and outside. Another method is the steam method. Drain the diesel, remove the tank, fill it with about half a tank of water, and introduce steam into the water through a pipe from the fuel filler. Let the water in the tank boil for about an hour to dissolve the gum and remaining diesel molecules on the inner wall 

Daily checks should also include inspecting and tightening track bolts, adjusting track tension, checking the coolant level, engine oil level, hydraulic oil level, and the operation of the air - conditioning system. Clean the interior of the cooling system and the floor of the cab regularly.
